We start this campaign with a brief history:
The universe is at a so-called peace. Hyborea is now subject to attacks and the three rules have been broken. (There is more history, but you'll have to read the email.)
Nisha is on her way back to Hyborea and receives a summons from Dr. Browning. She decides to stop at home before meeting with him. At home she finds her mail which included a postcard of the destroyed downtown area. Thinking it's a in bad taste joke, she discards it. She calls Dr. Browning to set up a meeting and he sends a car for her. When she arrives at the university, she goes to Dr. Browning's office. He explains the case he would like her to work on. The case involves a Dassani woman who's head exploded. The military has closed the case, but Dr. Browning believes there is more to find out. He tells her that if there is anything she needs, let him know and to watch out for Major Briggs.
After her meeting with Dr. Browning, she visits her parents who work for the university. Talking to her parents goes as expected. She gets in contact with Alexi who agrees to meet with her for supper at the cafeteria.
Meanwhile, Malcolm arrives on Hyborea after being told where to land. He is watched very carefully and is inspected. Malcom goes to his Hilton hotel room where he receives a message from Leonardo Silbeck. Malcom returns the message and agrees to meet with Leonardo for supper at Oregano. Durning the meeting, Leonardo propositions Malcolm about importing and exporting. Malcolm agrees to help and decides to spend the night on the town.
After Alexi agrees to meet with Nisha, he gets a hold of Vayron who agrees to check on downtown and "investigate" Nisha. Nisha reviews the materials given to her by Dr. Browning and meets up with Alexi. She discusses working with Alexi and why Dr. Browning has hired her. Alexi tells her that if she wants to work with him, she has to work with Vayron as well. Nisha calls Vayron over and discuss a plan on how to get Alexi's girlfriend's dead body from the military morgue and where to find a forensics lab. Nisha talks to Dr. Browning about security at the morgue and finding a forensics lab with all the equipment she needs. After the meeting, Nisha talks to Vayron about the holding building and he decides to case the building. Once Vayron comes back, Nisha, Alexi, and Vayron discuss the best plan of action.
The group decides the best plan of action is to get the paperwork to obtain the corpse. Alexi contacts his youngest sister and she agrees to get the paperwork that Nisha needs. Dr. Browning calls Nisha and he tells her he has started a business and procured a lab in Nisha's name. Before the group checks out the new lab, Alexi tells Nisha she is sparring with him. Afterwards, they head to the lab to setup the equipment that is delivered. Vayron sets up a "paranoid" security system. Just as they are getting done setting up, the first client shows up. Nisha decides that the dogs they brought in were poisoned. The client is impressed with the results and timeliness of the diagnosis.
Meanwhile, Malcolm starts calling some contacts and ends up calling Dr. Browning. Dr. Browning contacts Alexi to check out Malcolm. Alexi calls Jericho for information, then goes to spy on Malcom. Alexi and Vayron decide to bug a card to give to Malcolm. Alexi heads over to the Hilton. While Alexi shows up at the Hilton, a Dassani woman lets herself into Malcolm's room. She seduces Malcolm and the last thing he remembers is a vision of the Dassani women carrying something. When Alexi gets to the room, there is a pool of blood coming out from under the door. Alexi breaks the door down and finds a dead female student. Malcolm is unconscious, but holding the "murder weapon" in his hand.
Alexi, Vayron and Nisha go to Dr. Browning's to discuss Malcolm's dilemma. Vayron and Nisha decide that they need to break into Malcolm's room to gather evidence. Vayron goes to scope out the security and how to get into the room. He also talks to some engineers to put together a robot to help them break in.
