August 16th: Kalimdor

Dax and Cue meet up with "the brothers" and get tattoos and get the information on the furbolgs. They are sent to the rest of the group by transport via plants. When they get there, they meet Xen for the first time. Rumnia tricks Xen into hugging Dax and he is not pleased. Xen tells the party about the furbolg problem and suggests alternate forms for those who can. Once the group starts out, there are sounds of a scuffle. The groups goes to check it out, but the sounds stop shortly after. They find two dead furbolgs one badly injured furbolg. Dax and Xen heal up the furbolg and he leads the party to his village.

The furbolg is from the Ashwood tribe named for the Ash tree on the mesa they live on. He offers us food and drink. Xen drinks the water and spits it out because it tastes bad. The party decides that the water is tainted, but the furbolgs can't discern this. They wait to talk to the chief of the tribe, but he is very tired and thirsty when he returns. The party sets out to the source of the water to see what is contaminating it.

They find the source of the river up a waterfall and in a cave. Once in the cave, boot tracks are discovered. The group follows the tracks down one tunnel. At the end there are two humanoid figures and four devil/demon type creatures. Rumnia and Zayer go to investigate. They put something in the water. The "imps" discover the rest of the party and they attack. During the fighting, Rumnia is able to recover the stone. After the battle, the group examines the stone from the water. It pulses. Xen tries the water and it tastes fine. Dax opens a sealed scroll from one of the humanoids and discovers it's protected with a targeted blasphemy. He fortunately doesn't die. The party goes to the other tunnel and discern that someone or something has been teleporting to that specific tunnel end. Rumnia changes the area by using baleful utterance to crumble the walls.

After much discussion, the party gets ready to head back in the dark. After two hours of travel, the group turns into the forest where they are attacked by three tigers. They make it back to camp and rest for the night. Once the party has rested, the furbolgs have come back from getting fresh water. The party asks about the other furbolg camps in the area. Once they have gotten their information, Xen pulls out a scroll of a spell similar to earth glide. The scroll takes them back to Malfurion. Rumnia gives Malfurion the stone from the water and Dax gives him the sealed scroll. Malfurion warns them about the objects and sends other druids out to find other stones to take out of the water. Malfurion also tells the group about a defector, Illidan. He tells the groups to talk to a huntress in Astranaar, Maive. The party rides the hippogryffs back to Astranaar and find that it has been attacked recently.

The party finds and talks to Maive about Illidan. She is sure that he is the one who planned the attack on Astranaar. She asks the group to get to the nearest town in Stonetalon Mountains to get help. The group agrees and helps by taking up patrols until some hippogryffs are available. While on patrol, the group sees a "felhunter" that they try to kill. They are told what they are and that magic makes them stronger. Zayer is scryed on while finishing the patrol. He goes to a hollow tree and sleeps until he is no longer being scryed on.

After spending the night in the bunkhouse, Maive gives the group pins and sends them to Stonetalon. While in flight, Zayer is scryed on again. Rumnia tells Illidan that it isn't polite to spy and they hear a chuckle. Knowing who is now scrying on them, they land in a son of Cenarius' grove. The party tells him about the corruption and he agrees to lend them sabers to get to the settlement.
