August 15th: Alba, Part II

Melody wishes the Winternight Company to the ethereal plane. Once there, Sapphire tries to teleport the group to Tefnut and she is successful. There is some sort of decaying effect surrounding the "pod" encapsulating Tefnut. Louis ties to heal her, but it only buys the group a couple of days. Karic and Isania go to the surface and find themselves in a larger than normal forest, or at least what used to be a forest. All the plants are dying. Isania tries to control weather to see if she can bring any signs of life back. Karic gates to the Black Moon to talk to Sinclair and ends up talking to Rhiannon instead. She suggested that Tefnut needed to be replaced.

Karic relays this news to the party and they go back to the Black Moon. Isania talks to her father and tells him to get the Killoren to call a "Council of Elders" to see if they can find someone to take Tefnut's place.

Since the party hadn't heard from Zith in quite some time, they decided to go to Union to find him. They go in disguise and Zith is able to tell them to talk to Chendra. The Winternight Company finds Chendra's Palace and asks for a membership so they can talk to Chendra privately. They find out that a death slaad wizard named Madwand is mad at Zith. (Most likely for spying on him.) It is most likely that Madwand is the one with the chaotic army. Chendra gets Oslan Turvey to try to setup a meeting with Madwand. At Melody's suggestion, the group offers a dirge dragon for a possible trade. In the morning, Oslan comes to tell the group that Madwand has agreed to see them. Melody fights about being changed up, but finally agrees once a collar with an anti-magic field is made.

The party takes Oslan's ship to meet with Madwand. Once there, he tries to capture the group, but Melody wishes them and Zith out and back on the Black Moon. Isania leaves to meet with her father and the Killoren while Zith has a discussion with the rest of the group. He shows his true feelings about the domains given to him. (Apparently he thought he should have been given the luck domain.) The group relays all of there information to Sinclair. In response he gives the party two tasks: forestall the army from Union long enough for Sinclair to deal with them himself or closes all the portals, and help with Tefnut.

Isania approaches Sinclair alone and asks how her becoming Tefnut will affect the current situation. Sinclair isn't happy about this idea and she explains it's a necessary backup plan in case someone else isn't found in time. They are still waiting the opinion of the "Council of Elders".
