Eastern Kingdoms: April 21st

We had an impromptu session since Matt and Tab were at our house. Adam was here also, but had to leave before we could do any gaming. Here's what happened: Grace took Ray for his monthly visit to see his son. (She also took Angus and his pet so Angus could help run the saronite mine.) He gave a gift to his son, Ray Jr., and to Xelf. He and Xelf had a talk about how she is ready for another child, but circumstances need to be different. To show he was committed, Ray gave Xelf 70,000 gold for her to invest in how she saw fit. Grace watched Ray Jr. while Ray and Xelf were talking and having a hard time of it. Once they were done talking, Grace went in search of information about epic tablets. She met a man who said he had a lead and would give her the information if she would let him copy the tablet. She agreed and was given a book about where the epic tablet may be. She went to pick up Ray and off they went, right outside the door of Xelf's house. Grace teleported her and Ray to a keep with three towers. There were footprints leading up to one of the towers and Ray and Grace decided to start with that tower. Once they solved the puzzle on how to get inside, they arrived in a room where there was a body lying on the floor and a tablet floating on an obsidian plate with stairs leading to it. Grace decided she would try to get to the dias and Ray had her tie a rope around her waist, just in case. Grace starts walking towards the stairs and walks through an area in which she could feel her magic items and spells being suppressed. Once she got up close to the body, she felt the suppression go away, but then felt her head being squeezed and passed out. Ray pulled her back to him and she came to several minutes later. Ray decides to tie the rope to himself and runs towards the stairs. He also passes out and slides a little bit face first. Grace pulls Ray back and waits for him to come to. Thunderfury gives Grace the idea that she needs more beings and may be able to get through the epic Power Word Stun area. Grace tries to get to the body to hopefully attach enough to it to pull it back. It didn't work. Ray decides to use his hammer to try to scoop the body back. It works. Once the body comes too, Grace and Ray find out that Ally is a Panderan and she came to the tower searching for the tablet believing it may have information about her past. Grace convinces Ally to work together to get the tablet. After a while, they get up to the obsidian slab. Grace changes into a Yan-ti so Ally and Ray can still hold on to her, but she can get up to the tablet. The tablet reads "Do not remove by penalty of Law." Grace convinces Ally that the y will put the tablet back once they take a look at it off of the slab. Unfortunately, once the tablet is down the steps, it drops to the floor and fuses with it. The obsidian slab starts to rise and a book appears. The book turns a beam onto Grace which hurts her badly. The tower starts to shake and crumble. The group, still holding hands, runs towards the door. Once they get there, they go through the door and out onto a balcony. In the air there were angels of all sorts laying waste to the tower. Grace teleported herself, Ray and Ally back to her house. This is how Ally became the "A" in "BRAGH".
